I was skeptical but I completely understand the mixed review. Service is top notch but the food sometimes puts its drive to challenge/delight diners ahead of pure taste
Mugaritz is on the cusp of culinary creativity led by Andoni, one of the great visionaries. If you just want to be pleased, don’t go. One must submit to a journey which can be thought provoking. Fab!
Outstanding experience. Seasonal ingredients + great technique! I haven’t tried the wine pairing, white wine as aperitif was great. All and all: amazing place, definitely coming back next season.
Not enough word space to describe the night in detail. It was my birthday present. The 25-course dinner was a world class experience that we will never forget. So worthy of the trip from Athens!!!
Supposed to be one of the best in the world, but to each his own. Meal felt like being part of a long drawn out expensive afternoon tasting "food" from a science laboratory, some of it rather bland.
One of the best food experiences. The simple joy, playfulness exhibited in the complex artful food is exhilarating. Getting the whole room to stand together and play a game is just subversive genius.

Una gran desilusión. Después de bastantes restaurantes con estrella, de calle este el peor.Comida poco elaborada p.e.Los petit fours son trozos de chocolate. De comida molecular nada o ínfima :/
Fans of molecular gastronomy will still have a reason to venture to Spain when El Bulli closes in 2011. Chef Aduriz distinguishes himself in the field with his focus on seasonal ingredients.
Food was incredible, ended up with over 29 courses. There were a couple we didn't like so they brought replacements. Sometimes language a problem which meant we didn't learn as much as we'd like.
La verdad que la experiencia fue muy mala, para la experiencia de los platos considero un robo! En el primer plato me toco un hueso que casi me ahogo, creo que ni en Mc Donald's te pasa esto....
