Natalie Wocheleตุลาคม 30, 2014The new 6, 7, and 8 terminals are a freaking joke! If I arrive in terminal 6, I have to walk miles (over 20 min) to get my connection in terminal 8. Couldn't they have added those flat escalators? Grr

TSA is a bitch but wear shoes with no laces and you can slip them on and off easily!

Security lines can be really bad! Be there at least 2 hrs. before flight so you won't stress out following the snaking relay of line starting from the outside of the airport!

Start loading your mobile boarding pass 10 mins before you get to security line. The cranky TSA lady told me it's better to just print out a pass. Guess I'm too tech savvy and granola for LA??
Come ahead of time to relax and enjoy LAX, maybe even spot a celeb incognito.
This is hands-down the worst airport in America. The traffic congestion getting in, the dilapidated terminals, the lack of amenities, the lack of acceptable connections between terminals;
The predator of airports. Billions of taxes went to build the Ontario reliever airport only to have LAX sabotage the project.

No vendors at departures in Terminal 1, but if you take the stairs down to baggage claim there's a kiosk with drinks, snacks and magazines.
It's always busy at HELL-A-X! Get there early. Southwest check-in is particularly a beast!!

Huge airport. Getting from terminal to terminal is confusing with the bus system
If Jetblue security at T6 is bad, you can take a short walk down to T7 security. Once you're through, there's a walkway back to the gates you'll need.
