Nice book and pattern selection (bins on bottom shelves) with staff able to explain tricky patterns. Yarns are sorted by fiber and brand, and knitting accessories are back-left of the counter.

This is the best bead store in Manhattan, excellent and diverse selection of beads from all over the world and a helpful staff.
Not a very large yarn store, but definitely has some unique yarn choices that I haven't seen anywhere else in the city. I would also say their prices are a little lower than others too. 4 stars

Wide variety of supplies. Directly across the street from the Art Students League. They are expensive but they do have astudent/teacher discount. Sadly return policy is store credit or exchange only.
A fabric-lovers dream! There is sooo much fabric to choose from, in virtually all styles and colors. It's difficult to spend less than a half hour just looking at all the fabric goodness.
