Jon Steinback: On a Sunday, swing through and see the Dancing Elvises (Elvi?) and wander down towards the Harajuku entrance from some Harajuku girls. Good Okonomiyaki from street vendors, too!
Jon Steinback: Maybe one of the happiest places on Earth. Buy a ticket at the kiosks at AM/PM the same day, but have a Japanese person help you; there is no English UI.
Jon Steinback: Go at the crack of dawn (like a bit before 5.30am) any day for the tuna auction, get a bowl of tuna sashimi at a stall, and then go take a nap at the hamarikyu botanical gardens nearby.
Jon Steinback: After you've seen the tuna auctions at Tsukiji, wander over here as it opens and get the garden all to yourself. Take a nap in the middle of it.
Jon Steinback: One of the best things to do in Japan, and nobody goes. Head to the island of Naoshima. It's a two-day trip. It's an arts colony. It's amazing. Really.
Jon Steinback: Go to any 7-11 or AM/PM or anything and get onigiri balls (they're 100 yen (~$1) and delicious, fresh, and ingeniously packaged). And try a new strange drink every day you're there.
Jess Barron: Check out the New York Bar on the 52nd floor, featured in the movie "Lost in Translation."There are great city views &an excellent live jazz band, just like in the film. Also, try the L.I.T. Cocktail.
Jon Steinback: Hike around the island as much as possible (including all the way to the top). Feed the deer. Find some monkeys. Watch the sun set over the gate.
Dens: Long story short: My buddy said this was the best pizza in the world. I doubted him. I was wrong. Best pizza I've ever had. Get the margarita pizza, skip the marinara. You need the cheese.
Dens: This is the owl cafe of your dreams! All the owls you can pet for the low low price of ¥1500! (a bit tricky to find, follow the map) ps: Don't pet their bellys or they bite!
