One of my favorite restaurants on the near north side of Chicago. You're here for the gumbo probably but you need to try the sausage Po'boy (with shrimp too if you're like me) or the Cajun crab cakes.
Any Heaven on Seven location is amazing. They have great food, the portions are generous, to say the least and it's a very comfortable atmosphere. I would recommend the Corn Blasters (appetizer).
If you see someone order salad instead of gumbo, then punch them in the face. Better yet, if you see someone order the gumbo, then punch them in the face and steal their gumbo.
Shrimp is a mainstay here, notably in a fully loaded po' boy ($13.95). Soaked in hot sauce, lightly floured and fried, the crustaceans are garnished to a T. อ่านข้อมูลเพิ่มเติม
This is chili for the purist — Texas-style, which means no beans; it's all about the meat. Dubbed "Texas Roadhouse," it's dense and savory with shredded pork and shredded and ground beef. อ่านข้อมูลเพิ่มเติม
Never sit at the bar at dinner time. The bartender will not even look your way until he or she is done with the other patrons drinks. Service is quick once order is placed but refills are tough
Just say "Jimmy Feed Me!" best deal in the city. Seven couses for about $35.00. The gumbo and turtle soup (don't forget the sherry) are second to none!
Had the Voodoo Shrimp Linguini - An absolute DISASTER & should be avoided at all costs! It's soggy linguini, w/ overcooked shrimp smothered in a Chinese style sweet & sour sauce.
