Los Angelesสิงหาคม 1, 2013Opened in 1934 and with much of its original flavor — the freshest produce, gourmet meats and cheeses, and hot donuts — plus a few extra touches (gluten-free pizza, gumbo, authentic Mexican food).
I come here a lot. Really nice farmers market. Food, trinkets and almost everything else. Right next to The Grove so you could spend a whole day. Well worth the visit.

A wonderful place filled with the cuisines of the world. This place is a foody mecca. More of a bazaar than a market. Be warned the grove parking is a completely different entity.

Established in 1934, when a dozen local farmers parked their trucks on an open field (once a dairy farm) to sell fresh produce to local residents, the Market has remained true to its roots ever since. Over 75 years later the Farmers Market remains the one stop shop for every visitor’s needs.
