C’est parfait! Great wine, chill service, bare-bones vibe. The food is fresh, simple, and homey but not rich. Stunning tartare, plump oyster “ceviche,” lamb, veal ribs, and oof that chocolate dessert.
I mean c’mon, he’s iconic. His light-drenched studio is quite the sight to see.
You want the Equinoxe (the gray cylinder with three red dots): salted butter caramel on a crisp Speculoos biscuit enrobed in a light bourbon vanilla cream.

I just love it here. Awesome service, delicious selection of natural wines, nice snacks, cool vibe. Snag some seats if you can, then linger as long as your heart desires.
Typical French fare. Come hungry, order the prix fixe menu with coq au vin (the best) as your main, and get some fries to go with it (necessary for dipping.)

Go for lunch and order a sashimi bowl at Chez Taeko (the Japanese food stall.) You will be so happy. If you still have room, get a nutella crepe from the crepe guy (he is very entertaining.)
Incredible tartines. My personal favorite is the thon. Also, the salad they serve you to start comes w/ the best dressing in the world. Do it up and get dessert & espresso at the end of your lunch.
Need a break from cheese, pastries, steak, and the like? The vegetarian fare here is actually very good. Bank on the salad of the day or the bagel sandwich.

The best chocolate/candy store ever, period. The storekeeper speaks no English but is still incredibly helpful (weird, I know.) All she wants is to please you with her extraordinary treasures. 😍

MoMA of Paris with siqqq architecture and a killer permanent collection. Riding the escalator is half the fun.
The Monets are as stunning as everyone says. Make it a point to go here and come back as many times in life as is possible. It's an emotional whirlwind worth experiencing over and over again.
Paris's photography museum. I've seen many great exhibits here, but check what's showing before you go — sometimes they're mid-install, or not exhibiting anything fun.
Now that they've remodeled it for what seems like the 5th time in 10 years, it's lookin' good. Essential for fist-timers.
Get over the pistachio escargot hype because there are better moves to make here. Try the sacristain (long croissant-like pastry filled with sweet egg custard), and the brioche with marron.
Famous for their massive sourdough loaves, which are luckily available by the slice ("tranche"). Pain Chocolat is also extremely good.

If La Buvette were in New York, I'd be a regular. Come hungry to snack on small plates (the white beans are a must) — because it's not registered as a bar, all guests must have food with their wine.
Downstairs is cool and casual (walk-in only), upstairs is stuffy. Either way, the food is over-the-top delicious. Order: duck terrine, lentils with foie, blanquette de veau, chocolate tart.
