Excellent service & decor.Typical Italian dishes & pizzas, as well as Sicilian dishes that you won’t find elsewhere. They are probably most known for their arancini (rice balls), and rightly so.
So good I had lunch AND dinner here in one day! Excellent food, beautiful decor, attentive service. Highly recommended
This is the only place in the Western Hemisphere to see a Leonardo da Vinci. If that isn’t reason enough, then free admission to Western art from the middle ages thru the Impressionists ought to be.
First plane to ever fly is here (Wright flyer). Worth a visit just because of that!
The Mall itself is the place around which you will be spending much time if you’re here in DC as a tourist. That’s because everything on the top of most tourists’ lists is on or very near here.
Visit during the day--there are tours that stop here in the evening, but the lighting is really not sufficient to appreciate the Memorial after dusk.
A must-see, especially if you are visiting nearby Arlington National Cemetery
The sheer size of the collections on display are incredible & you could easily spend days going through this museum. If had had to nitpick, I wish it was easier to locate specific art or artists.
You have to bring every little boy here--it will inspire him for life (it did for me!)
Don’t call it “Grand Central Station” (that’s the name of the nearby Post Office). Iconic and a must-see while visiting NYC. The shops are more numerous and better than ever.

This supermarket has a real New York feel, filled with many products you won’t find elsewhere. It feels more like a specialty market than a place you’d go shopping every day, but you can & should!
The only mall to consider when in Queens. It has expanded much over the years, and is now impressive, with many shops and a great food court. It is well-maintained and a pleasure to visit!
This park started out as a Potter’s field in the 1700’s. Don’t look for Madison Square Garden, cuz it’s nowhere near here. Really nice oasis in the city.
Named for the long-defunct newspaper, the NY Herald, if you’ve been to Macy’s on 34th Street, you’ve probably passed through the square without even knowing. Lots of train connections in the area.
