Not easy for non-Chinese speakers, but smiling and pointing will get you a really authentic experience full of local flavor, pun intended.
the 900¥ lunch special here is probably the best deal in Japan - 12 pieces nigiri plus sides as well!
pretty standard yakitori with all dishes 280¥. Nothing super special, but it's a fun place, and entirely locals (i.e., we saw no other tourists or non-Japanese there).
fun gay bar with Australian owner. 1000¥ cocktails are very very strong, so don't go crazy!
fun and adorable, though geared more for kids than adults, with exhibits not translated into English
now under new management as the JR Inn. It's really great!!
